Juabar is a physical kiosk offering mobile phone charging needs. By functioning within the larger ecosystem of connectivity, Juabar brings cultural and economic platforms to areas exhibiting high mobile phone penetration and limited access to electricity. Juabar is a sustainable business for the operator and provides valuable charging services to their community.

As mobile technologies and connectivity continue to close the global digital divide, mobile phones become not only desirable but also serve as a daily tool. Juabar responds to this need for accessible electricity and charging services by providing a platform for economic growth, opportunities, and collaborations.

Our long-term goal  is to develop Juabar kiosks as a micro-enterprise for Juabar entrepreneurs who will vend phone charging, provide access to wifi and other connectivity services and offer the sale of products to complement their service offerings and provide additional income generating opportunities (solar home products and/or airtime vouchers and SIM cards).

We envision a place for communities to interact with, learn about, and create their own solar energy solutions.

Our mission is to develop profitable small business opportunities while meeting community energy needs by designing and building local, low-cost phone charging kiosks powered by solar.
